It’s a master stroke to deprive the already deprived by grossly violating the Indian constitution.

The reservation system was designed to ensure that the historically deprived and underprivileged communities dont continue to be discriminated against. BUT the complete opposite is happening with the introduction of the 10% reservation for general category.

Read the following letter to the CM of Punjab, which raises awareness that the 10 % reservation for the EWS, the ‘high caste’ students, in practice is ensuring the opposite of what reservations were designed for.

Subject: Income Limit for SC students

The PAGAAM has come to know that department of welfare of SC /OBC has fixed a limit of Rs 2.5 lac as annual family income for students to be eligible for scholarships under Post Metric Scholarship Scheme

Whereas for EWS High Caste Students, under 10% reservation category the income limit is Rs 8.0 lacs per annum to be eligible for admissions and services under Punjab Government. This seems to be a cruel joke with students and parents belonging to Scheduled Caste category.

PAGAAM is to make a request to your good self to get the matter examined for taking corrective measures to end the discrimination and partial treatment to most disadvantaged sections of the society. Kindly get the issue examined and set the things right preferably keeping same level of treatment if not preferential as they deserve under the constitution of India.

Under the scheme:

If the family income of a person coming from the HIGHEST CASTE is, let’s say 4.5L, she/he would be considered almost fifty percent BELOW the poverty line (8.0L)

BUT.. If the family income of a person coming from the lowest wrungs of society, the historically deprived/underprivileged castes is EXACTLY the same ie 4.5L, then she/he would be considered as earning nearly TWICE ABOVE the poverty line (2.5L)

IS THIS NOT TYPICAL CASTEIST DISCRIMINATION ?

NOTE : The 1O% reservation for the general category ruling was passed by the Supreme Court comprising of Brahmins only (now there is one judge from the Scheduled Caste category). Isn’t this representation effectively hidden reservation? There are countless other similar examples.

This stealth move is a cunning masterstroke initiated by Narendra Modi’s bosses, the Sawaranas in RSS and effectively executed by Modi himself.
